CAN I ORDER CABINETS IN CUSTOM DIMENSIONS?

When we created Svenska Funkiskök, we had been building fully customized solid pine kitchens for a long time. Our new aim was to give more customers access to hand-built solid pine frame cabinets joined together with glue and wooden plugs. To achieve this we developed our cabinet system with fixed dimensions. In this way, we can streamline the manufacturing process without sacrificing the craftmanship in the finished cabinets. Our wealth of experience with built on-location kitchen solutions in custom sizes, tells us that fixed dimension cabinets along with fillers, plinths and trim, presents an equally good solution most every time.

If we were to experience a challenging floor plan, or if you order a slightly larger kitchen from us (more than 20 cabinets), we can of course make certain cabinets custom sized at a higher cost. Otherwise, we try to avoid this to keep the cost of your new kitchen down.

Do you renovate older existing kitchens?

Preserving and renovating existing kitchens is something we try to encourage. Often, your local carpenter can help with such a project. Funkiskök focuses entirely on its cabinet production and the accessories you find on our website. If you want to supplement an older existing kitchen with new cabinets, you can submit a request via our kitchen planner. If there are only a few cabinets you are interested in, we unfortunately cannot make these in custom dimensions (see the heading "CAN I ORDER CABINETS IN CUSTOM DIMENSIONS?"). If we have a lot of larger kitchen orders, these have to take priority in our production, which means that we sometimes have to turn down smaller requests.

WHAT DO YOUR KITCHENS COST?

On the Pricing page you'll find kitchen sketches and price estimates. We do not have fixed prices for our cabinets. We only give a price estimate when we see an overall picture of the cabinets you are interested in. We have a simple and easy-to-work kitchen planner on our website. Upon submitting your sketch using the planner, you'll receive a price estimate within 1-2 working days. The kitchen planner also includes instructional videos. Happy sketching!

WHAT APPLIANCES ARE SUPPORTED?

We are a reseller of Smeg appliances. Their product range contains many appliances suited to our cabinets. We also have an appliances guide that explains appliance requirements. Almost all major appliance brands have products that fit our cabinets.

HOW ARE KITCHENS DELIVERED AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The kitchens are packed on Euro-pallets using shrinkwrap, straps and sometimes corner protection. The pallets are driven in special vehicles that are used to handling fragile goods. Our packing method does not allow for normal pallet transport as the kitchens can easily get damaged in transit. Therefore, we have chosen a little more expensive and safer transport. In order for these transports not to be too costly, the driver always comes alone to your address and only helps unload the pallets from the transport vehicle's loading bed to flat ground. It is important that there you have help on hand to assist you with moving your kitchen into your home. The driver always calls in good time to a phone number of your choice. The cost of transportation for a normal-sized kitchen is about between 3,000 and 5,000 SEK within Skåne and about between 8,000 and 10,000 SEK to Stockholm. We always provide an exact delivery price for you before shipping.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO ORDER ONLY DOOR AND DRAWER FRONTS FOR AN EXISTING KITCHEN?

Unfortunately, we only make doors and drawer fronts for our own complete cabinets. Feel free to contact your local carpenter who can certainly help you.

HOW IS THE CABINET'S INSIDE SURFACE TREATED?

All our cabinets and drawers are treated with paraffin oil on the inside. Even our cutting boards are treated with paraffin oil. This provides a wipeable surface.

WHAT COLOURS ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR KITCHENS?

We have selected our favourite colours that are suitable for both small and large kitchens. All colours are available for all our kitchen series. Read more here.

DO YOU MAKE HOME VISITS?

To keep the prices of our kitchens as low as possible, we need to be cost effective. This means that we never make home visits. We have developed a simple and practical kitchen planner that will assist in your planning. We're happy to help you with the kitchen planner after you have submitted a room measurement sketch. HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

Your kitchen will always be a special order from our carpentry shop. In connection with the order, we will send you an advance invoice of 50% of the total amount to be paid within 5 days. This payment locks-in the delivery date we agreed on. About 10 days before the delivery date, the final invoice is sent in the amount of the remaining balance. This must be paid in advance of the delivery leaving the carpentry shop.

Do you deliver kitchens outside of Sweden?

We can deliver our kitchens to Norway, Denmark, Finland as well as all over northern Europe and the UK. Send your request to josefin@funkiskok.se and we will be happy to assist you.
